# Input options

> Accepted selections and purpose-specific requirements.

Use the spelling, spacing and capitalisation shown here. Choice fields accept strings, not booleans.

## Assessment choices

| Field | Accepted values |
| - | - |
| `purpose` | `Work From Anywhere` · `Hire From Anywhere` |
| `seniority` | `Low` · `Mid` · `Senior` |
| `salesContracts` | `Yes` · `No` |
| `legalRight` | `Yes` · `No` · `Unsure` |
| `benefitLocalMarket` | `Yes` · `No` |

## Role type

* `Senior Decision Maker`
* `Sales Generating`
* `Research & Development`
* `Finance Legal & HR`
* `Support Functions`
* `Other`

## Hiring urgency

For `Hire From Anywhere`, supply both `numberHires` and `urgency`. `numberHires` is the anticipated number of hires over the next two years.

* `< 1 month`
* `1-3 months`
* `3 months +`

## Prior trip duration

`pastTripsDuration` is the total number of days for this employee's previous approved trips to the same destination in the preceding 12 months, measured from the current trip's end date. Exclude the current trip. Send `0` when there are no previous trips.

Send this field for both purposes: the current test workflow has an unconditional termination step when it is empty, even though its missing-duration error is limited to Work From Anywhere.

## Dates and working days

Send `startDate` and `endDate` as ISO 8601 UTC timestamps, for example `2026-11-01T00:00:00.000Z`. `workingDays` counts actual working days within the trip. The reviewed test workflow's missing-working-days check is disabled.

## Countries and legal entity

See [countries](/reference/countries) for citizenship, destination and residency names. Legal entity is derived from the company's settings for the destination; do not send the older `legalEntity` field.

## Decision status

| Status | Actor to send |
| - | - |
| `Pending` | No decision actor required. |
| `Manager Approved` | `managerId` |
| `Compliance Approved` | `complianceTeamMemberId` for a registered, activated company staff account. |
| `Rejected` | `managerId` or `complianceTeamMemberId` |
| `Canceled` | `cancelledByStaffId` to identify the person cancelling. |

`Approved` is a legacy alias for `Compliance Approved`. Prefer the current status names. The saved assessment supplies `employeeId` when updating a decision.
