These examples use the Bubble test environment. Use test staff and assessment IDs.

Before you begin

You need a company API token issued by WFA, a server-side integration, and the staff IDs used by your company. Keep the token out of browser code.

Set up authentication

Send Authorization: Bearer YOUR_COMPANY_TOKEN and Content-Type: application/json with every request. See Authentication.

Create an assessment

Use Create an assessment with the employee, destination and travel details. Save the returned assessment ID and redirect URL.

Retrieve the results

Pass the saved ID as assessmentId to Retrieve an assessment. Read the applicable risk results.

Record a decision

Use Update a decision to record the status, decision note and the appropriate approver ID. A compliance approver must be registered and activated for your company.

Need to add an approver?

Invite a staff member creates a pending user with the Approver role and sends invitation emails. Confirm the test email recipient before making this request.

Check the response body

An HTTP 200 response can still contain an API error. Check status and, where returned, success before continuing. See Errors and retries.
